Who Are DNA Brickwork & Builders?

DNA Brickwork & Builders Ltd might seem like a sprightly young business, but we’ve been around the block a fair few times! Founded in 1996 by Dave Carpenter, we have expanded to take on 5 different teams of builders, electricians and other trades, making sure we can handle any project, any size, any time.

Dave has always been a builder at heart. As soon as he left school in 1987 he started an apprenticeship with a local builder, and even won the Silver Trowel Award for Apprentice of the Year.

By 1991 he was a fully-fledged builder, and his dedication and hardworking attitude meant he found work very quickly. But after working for a few different construction firms, he decided he wanted to build a business of his own, and so DNA was born!

Over the years the team and the experience has grown, with the most recent addition being Dave’s own son, who recently qualified as an electrician, and now takes on all electrical work for the business. But no matter how many great tradespeople we take on, we keep the family business mentality going strong. Now, we are big enough to take on pretty much any job you can throw at us, but small and tight-knit enough to care about your experience, and the quality of the work.

Supporting Local Talent

We also work with an amazing group of local trades and suppliers. Our motto is ‘employ local, buy local, use local’ – so we will use local manufacturers where we can, take on apprentices from local colleges, and work with other local tradesmen like architects or glaziers. In short, we’re dedicated to supporting the local economy, and providing the highest quality we can for our customers.

A Builder You Can Trust

One of the reasons we’ve been around as long as we have is that we’re very adaptive. We work a lot with apprentices and newly qualified builders, who can bring a fresh point of view to our work while we teach them the tried and trusted techniques that make a great builder. We also make a point of keeping up with the latest innovations, and regularly update our training to make sure we’re providing the best service we can.
